Obituary Johnny Edward Joyner, Sr. was born February 22, 1960 in Sumter to the late Virginia Joyner Martin and was raised by Roosevelt Martin.He attended the public schools of Sumter County.He was employed by the City of Sumter for twenty-three years before he retired. Johnny was employed by Ideal Pawn and Auction which was owned and operated by Alton Meeler and S&W Car Sales operated by Barbara White.He had a hobby and passion for making grills and he loved to build fences. To know Johnny was to loved him. After the passing of his mother, he was raised by his aunt the late Harriet Issac.He departed this life on Monday, May 18, 2020 in Sumter.He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Johnny (Lakalia) Joyner, Jr of the home; daughter, Tira Harvin of Sumter; four grandchildren, Destini Bracey, Davayon Harvin, Ja'Quasia Dingle and Ja'Quavion Henry all of Sumter, SC; special companion, Valorie Harvin of Sumter, SC; three sisters, Theresa (DeWitt) Taylor of St. Stephens, SC, Patricia (Travis) Dinkins and Stephanie Joe both of Sumter, SC; three brothers, John Day and Edward Martin both of Columbia, SC and Eddie (Teresa) Allen of Sumter, SC; a father-in-law, Edddie Lee Harvin of Mayesville, SC; one aunt, Nellie Allen of Philadelphia, PA; sisters-in-laws, Mae Johnson of Sumter, SC, Jerrildine Jefferson-Jones, Shirley (Herbert) Myers, Bettie Harvin and Elsie (Leroy) Wells all of Mayesville, SC; a special nephew, Steve Johnson of Sumter, SC; special friends, Raymond (Barbara) Rutherford, Alton Meeler and Brenda Brisbon and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.The family is receiving friends at 654 B Miller Road Sumter.
