Obituary "Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. These are the words of assurance that the Lord has said. Let Him be your comfort, let Him be your friend, let Him walk beside you from beginning to end."Johnny Melvin McClam the son of the late Mitchell and Icybell McClam was born on December 28, 1946 in Williamsburg County, South Carolina.He was number five of nine children. Johnny left this physical life to be with his spiritual Master on May 18, 2017.Johnny was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County. He was employed by Mayflower Vanlines, Nelson Moving Company, and retired from Sumter Builders in 2004 and became the best anytime baby sitter for his grands, nieces, nephews, and whoever else who needed care.At an early age, Johnny joined the St. John United Methodist Church in Lake City, South Carolina where he attended until his untimely death.Johnny was a man of not many words but was well known throughout the community for his giving heart. If you wanted to know where to catch some of the best fish in Sumter County, only Johnny could take you to those fishing spots that only he knew about.Preceding Johnny in death in death by two bothers: John(Newt) McClam and James E McClam.
