At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church in Woodrow, SC. He was the owner/operator of JW Heating and Air. John enjoyed long conversations and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren and most definitely making sure that your heat and air was working properly. John departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 3, 2022, in Sumter, SC at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. John leaves to cherish his precious memory, two daughters, Eileen Denise Wactor and Tiniki Lashawn Wactor both of Sumter, SC; three grandchildren, Jaylan Wactor, Asaad Moses and Tiearra Smith all of Sumter, SC; one great granddaughter, Jaraiya Ka'li Wactor of Sumter, SC; one sister, Rosa (Minister Lester) Ragin of Sumter, SC; four brothers, Minister Willie (Paulette) Wactor, Jr., Isaac (Socorro) Wactor both of Wichita, KS, James Wactor of Sumter, SC and Charles Wactor of Dalzell, SC and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
