Obituary Jimmie was born on July 6, 1949, in Lee County, to the late Lee and Georgia Mae Rice Joe. He was educated and attended the public schools of Sumter County. He was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist. He was formerly employed with J E Atkinson and John Hewitt Farm. In addition to her parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Joe; and a sister, Annie Mae Joe Robinson. He departed this life on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, in Sumter. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Janet Joe; a son, Jimmie Lee Joe of Sumter, SC; three daughters, Tiniqwat Green, Shaquitta (Robert) Wells and Ky'Cenia Bristol all of Sumter, SC; a sister, Dorothy Joe of Brooklyn, New York; a brother, Clinton (Evelyn) Rice of Sumter, SC; a mother in law, Evelyn Green of Sumter, SC; a father in law, Lee Ernest Young of New York New York; fourteen grandchildren; a great grandson, Dessiah Furman; one sister in law, Rebecca Joe of Bishopville, SC; five brothers in law, Lucious Robinson of Bishopville, SC, Christopher (Vickie) Green and Ernest (Wanda) Green of Sumter, SC, Derick Young and  Eric Young of New York New York; one aunt, Sue Montgomery of Sumter, SC; a special brother, Walter Davis of Detroit, Michigan; a special caregiver, Vera Wilson of Sumter, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.     To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Jimmie Lee Joe, please visit our floral store.
