Obituary Mr. Jerome Rembert was born September 11, 1962, in St. Charles (Lee County), South Carolina to Herman Rembert, Jr. and the late Vermell Charles Rembert. Mr. Rembert attended the public schools of Sumter County. He was affectionately called "Rome." After high school, he joined the United States Army. While in the army, he earned a good conduct medal and army achievement medal. Rome was a professional commercial painter. He was a very compassionate person who was always concerned about others. He always had a smile to share. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Deloris Rembert, two brothers, Don Rembert and Matthew Charles Rembert and a nephew, Carlos "Steeler Boy" Franklin. He departed this earthly life on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Prisma Tuomey Hospital in Sumter, South Carolina.
