Jermiah Moody

Jermiah Moody was born February 16, 1954, in Rembert, South Carolina, a son of the late Oliver and Mary Alice Dargon Moody, Sr.

Jermiah was educated in the public schools of Sumter County, South Carolina. Jermiah was the owner of Moody Construction for over fifty (50) years, in which he was well known throughout this region.

Jermiah attended Saint Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church Sumter, South Carolina in his earlier years, where he was introduced to Jesus Christ.

Jermiah was married to a loving and caring woman of God, Helen Sumpter Moody for the past thirty-three (33) years.

Jermiah was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Moody Sr. and Mary Alice Dragon Moody; along with four sisters and two brothers.

Jermiah Moody transitioned from this life on Monday, May 4, 2026, in the comfort of his own home.

Jermiah leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Helen S. Moody; three children, Tamika (Shadrick) Brown, Charlena (Marion) Robinson and Sharon (Detrick) Keys; five grandchildren, Marquise Davis, Darius Brown, Yasmine Davis, Layla Brown and Justice Atkinson; two sisters, Jaunte Dinkins and Mary Dennis, along with host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other special friends.

All who knew him will miss him.
