Obituary At the age of 61, Jeanette Stephanie Mickens answered God's call for the last appointment on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, where she    embarked   upon a new journey to unite with family and friends in glory and to "Walk around heaven all day". Jeanette was born on February 5, 1959 in Sumter to the late  Isadore Nathaniel and Juanita Mickens Jordan Jeanette was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Sumter High School. She later went on to Morris College in Sumter where she played Basketball.  Jeanette had a beautiful smile,  she was full of laughter and her bubbly personality  attracted others whenever she entered a room. Her hobbies were baking, shopping and she loved Bingo. She also enjoyed lively conversations and fellowship with those she considered dear to her heart. Jeanette leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving children; two sons, Travis Mack and Mautrice Mickens; a daughter, Chastidy Mickens; three brothers, Robert (Mary) Brown, David Brown and James Ford; four sisters, Veronica Jordan, Michelle Jordan, Sylvia Ford and Sharon Brown; a best friend Clarissa Johnson; sixteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three  uncles, one aunt and a host of nieces, nephews, other  relatives, extended family and friends.   To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Jeanette Stephanie Mickens, please visit our floral store.
