JaQuante Taymont Montgomery was born on September 13, 2000, in Sumter, South Carolina to Shantell Mahoney and Michael Montgomery.  JaQuante was educated in the public school of Sumter County, South Carolina. Throughout his career, he was employed at the Pigeon Plant as a poultry processor. He was very outspoken, but to know him is to love him. The Richburg Family and Heyward Family played a big part in his life. JaQuante was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Elise Montgomery, uncle, Jamie Montgomery; maternal great parents, Jeremiah (Everlena) Sr., Thomas Mahoney, Amos (Josie) Richburg. JaQuante was called from this earthly life on Friday, February 14, 2025, in Sumter, South Carolina. JaQuante leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Shantell (Veneika Wilson) Mahoney of Sumter, South Carolina; his father, Michael Montgomery, Sumter, South Carolina; one son, Jamir of Sumter, South Carolina; two daughters, Myomi and Kahlani both of Sumter, South Carolina; six sisters, Angel Singleton of Sumter, South Carolina, Mya Singleton of Columbia, South Carolina, Ariel Montgomery, Pilara Montgomery, and Tiara Dennis all of Sumter, South Carolina; Denise Dennis of Virginia, six brothers,  Kaleaf Jones, Nathan Montgomery, Nathaniel Montgomery, Noah Montgomery, Roman Montgomery, and Staton Montgomery , all of Sumter, South Carolina; his maternal grandparents, Delphina (Benny, Sr.) Richburg of Sumter, South Carolina, Esau Heyward of Pinewood, South Carolina; great-grandmother, Denia Mae Mahoney of Sumter, South Carolina; three aunts, Samantha Mahoney of Paxville, South Carolina, Robyn Commander and Tiffany Montgomery both of Sumter, South Carolina; six uncles, Shawn Montgomery, Corey Montgomery, Kevin Montgomery and Justin Montgomery all of Sumter, SC, Steven Lamont Mahoney, of North Dakota and a big brother/uncle , Benny Richburg Jr. of Sumter, South Carolina; a close cousin/brother Trayvon Mahoney; close friends, Dashawn and Xavier; his godmother, Tomekia Richburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
