Obituary Mrs. Janie Mae Peterson was called from this earthly life on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in Sumter, SC. She was born on August 1, 1962 in Mayesville, SC to the late Eddie Lee and Flora Lesanne Pack. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a graduate of Mayewood High School. At an early age Janie Mae accepted Christ and became a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church until she later relocated. She was employed throughout her career as a Caregiver. Janie Mae was formerly married to Nathaniel "Nate" Peterson and to this union they were blessed with four children. She lived faithfully by the term "Lord I Thank You". In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nyleen Pack, her siblings, Mary Pack, Harry Lee Pack and Willie Pack, nephew, Sharmine "Lonnie" Pack, maternal grandparents, Irvin I.D. and Anna Lesean , paternal grandparents, Leroy and Winnie Pack, daughter-in-law, Savondria S. Pack and two special aunts, Rosa Peterson and Mattie Moses. Janie Mae leaves to cherish her memories; three sons, Lavon Pack of Lexington, SC, Terrence Pack and Quinton (Tiffany) Pack both of Sumter, SC; six grandchildren, one great-grand; a sister, Betty Jean Pack of Sumter, SC; two special nieces, Takema Cobia and Tamara Pack both of Sumter, SC; special nephew, Donnie Pack of Sumter, SC; three special cousins, Charlene Moses and Barbara Benjamin both of Mayesville, SC and Ruby L. McElveen of Sumter, SC; special grand-aunt, whom she affectionally called Mama, Whilimenia Titus of Mayesville, SC and a host of additional aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other family and friends.
