Jamey Kathryn Avery

Jamey Kathryn Avery was born August 28, 1989, in Charleston, South Carolina, to James and Laura A. Gurski Avery.

Jamey was educated in the public schools of Charleston, South Carolina and Sumter, South Carolina. She graduated from Lakewood High School in 2007 and attained a certificate in Phlebotomy. 

Known to her family and friends as “Jamey", she loved the beach, outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends, and most of all her daughter.

Jamey was preceded in death by her brother, Jeremy Avery; grandmother, Eloise Reynolds, and an aunt, Cheryl Manthei.

Jamey departed this life on Monday, March 2, 2026, in Sumter, South Carolina.

Jamey leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Karmyn, parents, Jamey and Laura Avery, brothers, Stewart Avery and Johnny McCall, grandfathers, Gordon Reynolds and Dennis DeSpain, her nephew Ryder, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. All who will miss her but will hold her close in their hearts and memories.
