Obituary James Parrott was born to the late Joseph and Pearline Wells Parrott, Sr. on March 4, 1944 in Lee County, SC. He was called to eternal rest by our Heavenly Father on this day February 19,2020. James was educated in the public schools of Lee County, SC. He later married Dora Mae Scarborough, and their union was blessed with six children. Affectionately known as "JD," James' was employed with Georgia Pacific, Fort Roofing, Lowder Gin Co., Coker Mobile Homes, and the late Dr. Campbell of Bishopville. James continued to work for Dr. Campbell's wife, Ms. Jean C Campbell, until his health failed.Man of many talents! JD loved fishing, cooking, and gardening, he could fix almost anything, and he loved his dogs. Everlasting memories will be fondly cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Dora, of 56 years. Earnest) Brown of Sumter, SC, Jeanette Milliner of Dalzell, SC, Larry Parrott of the home, Denise (Marvin) Wilson of Sumter, SC and son-in-law, Willie Geter of Mayesville, SC, 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph (Everlina) Parrott of Wisacky, SC, John Parrott of Sumter, SC, Alfred Parrott of Lynchburg, SC, three sisters, Dorothy Jackson of Mayesville, SC, Ethel (Thompson) Isaac of Lynchburg, SC and Naomi Slater of Sumter, SC, six sisters-in-law, Mary, Laura, and Lucille Colclough of Jersey City, NJ, Anna Copeland, and Marie Scarborough of Sumter, SC and Bertha Mabry of Baltimore, MD, one brother-in-law, Walter (Precious) Colclough of Atlanta, Ga. and a host of other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by two sons, Earl Taylor and Darrell L Parrott, one daughter, Linda McBride Geter, one sister, Pearline Wheeler and two brothers, Robert and Eddie Parrott, and a son-in-law, Timothy Milliner.
