James Bell was born on October 6, 1983 to Norma Jean Bell and James Anthony Polite. James received his education in the public schools of Sumter County and was a very friendly person. James was employed at the Sumter Pigeon plant where he loved to work, and he worked diligently. James also loved spending time with his family, cleaning, and talking to his friends. He accepted Christ at an early age at Greenhill Baptist Church in Alcolu, South Carolina. James was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ruth Bell Bradford and James Hayes and his paternal grandparents, Willie and Molly Polite. James received his wings on his 40th, birthday October 6, 2023 at Prisma Health Tuomey in Sumter, South Carolina. James, affectionately known as Jr., leaves to mourn his passing, his mother, Norma Jean (Kevin) Bell; father, James Polite; one sister, Denise (Torrey) Bell; two brothers, Kenneth (Christine) Bell and Anthony Bell; six aunts, Cindy (Blanding) Goines, Etta (Freddie) Stuckey, Janette (Sylvester) Polite, Joann Wilson, Barabara (Christopher) Snider and Carol Sheriod; three uncles, Mark Bell, Ricky Bell, and Robert Polite; godmother; Virginia Wells; best friend, Marvin Sims; and a host nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
