Jamal Ty'Rek Thames was born November 25, 2002, in Sumter, South Carolina to Ca'Brall and Collie Thames Archie. Jamal, also known as, "Man Man" was educated in the public schools of Sumter, South Carolina, as well as in Great Falls, Montana. Jamal was a son, brother, father, and friend to many who knew him. Jamal attended Grace Cathedral Church at an early age and visited other churches while living in the states of Montana and Louisiana. Jamal was preceded in death by his brother, Ca'Brall Archie, Jr. and his uncle, Quinton Thames. Jamal departed this life on Friday, December 22, 2023, in Sumter, South Carolina. Jamal leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Ny Air Dior Thames of Bishopville, South Carolina; parents, Ca'Brall and Collie Thames Archie of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; four brothers, Kentwon Thames, Hy'Ceem Thames, Hy' Fabian Thames and Ny'Quan Thames, all of Sumter, South Carolina; four sisters, Shyoum Amaire, Archee November Cameron, Infinity Thames and Onesti Pack; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Gennet Singleton; special nephew, Niledge Jackson; two special nieces, Ariel Thames and Malaysia Mack; special cousin, Samitha Thames; special friend, Antonie Price; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
