Herman Levi Bennett was born April 24, 1955, in Clarendon County, South Carolina to the late George and Lottie Pearlina Mouzon Bennett, Sr. Herman was educated in the public schools of Clarendon County, South Carolina. Herman, begin his work career early in life to support his family. He was a roofer by trade and worked for Roofco, Inc., when he retired from this profession. Herman was a member of Masonic Lodge Walker 56. Herman accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Sumter, South Carolina. In addition to his parents, Herman was preceded in death by, one sister, Shirley Kennedy: two brothers, George Bennett, Jr., and Alfred Bennett. Herman departed this life on Friday, July 14, 2023, in Sumter, South Carolina. Herman leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Olga "Pearl" Singleton; three sisters, Pearlina (Calvin) Bennett of Sumter, South Carolina, Mary Bennett of New York, New York and Gloria J. Bennett of Patterson, New Jersey; two brothers, Harold Lee Bennett of Hartsville, South Carolina and Reverend Daniel Bennett of Sumter, South Carolina; niece, Doretha Bennett; nephews, Joe (Gal) Miller and Harold Bennett, Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
