II Timothy 4:6-8 Herbert Lee Washington was born June 4, 1968, in Sumter, South Carolina to Martin, Sr. and Ellen Singleton Washington. Herbert, affectionately known as Herb, was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1989. He worked as a Senior Shattered Metal Specialist at Carolina Filter for thirteen years until his health declined. Herb endured many challenges throughout his life; however, he always expected the best and hoped for a positive outcome. Herb enjoyed football and going to the racetrack. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Herb was joined in Holy Matrimony to Emma McFadden Washington. Herb was preceded in death by two grandmothers, one grandfather, two great grandmothers, one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law. On Monday, October 23, 2023, God called Herbert "Herb" Washington to rest from his earthly labors at his residence in Rembert, South Carolina.
