Henry Douglas, Jr. was born September 13, 1950, in Sumter, South Carolina to the late Henry Sr. and Mary Conyers Douglas. Henry received his education at Lincoln High School in Sumter, South Carolina, where he received his high school diploma.  He was a member of the Class of 1969.   Henry was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Wedgefield, South Carolina.  Later in life, he attended Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Sumter, South Carolina. Henry was employed at Tuomey Hospital in Sumter. However, he later moved to Bronx, New York and resided there until his health declined. In addition to his parents, Henry and Mary Conyers Douglas, Henry was preceded in death by one sister, Earth Lee Hudson. Henry Douglas Jr. departed this life on Thursday, May 29, 2025, in Sumter, South Carolina. Despite his departure from this Earth, he leaves a "Legacy of Love" behind. Henry leaves to cherish his memories, two sisters, Ruthie Douglas Lee of Sumter, South Carolina and Rovenia McMillian of Bronx, New York; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and dear friends.
