Obituary Gladys McMillan affectionally known as "Gaddy" was born onOctober 26, 1936 and was the second oldest out of five children born to the late Zeke and Louise Jenkins McMillan. She grew up and received her childhood education in Lee County publics and was a member of Mechanicsville United Methodist Church. She moved to Sumter where she raised eight children. She worked as housekeeper in Sumter and then as a factory worker at VB Williams until she retired. She enjoyed fishing cooking and especially lending a hand in raising her grandchildren. Gladys also enjoyed looking at Soap Operas (Days of Our Lives). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Herbert Lee Jenkins and a sister Ruth Brunson. She was called to eternal rest by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in Savannah, GA. She leaves to cherish her memories, six daughters, Patricia Durant, Annie Bell (Moses) Wilson, Jean (Ed) McMillan, Lakeshia McMillian, Lori Ann (Tommy) China and Sybil McMillan; three sons, Eddie Lee (Willie Mae) Jenkins, James McMillan and Edward McMillan, a brother, Robert Jenkins and a sister Mary Louise (Levi) Woods, twenty-seven grandchildren, fifty-seven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
