Obituary Mr. George Marcellos James was born May 12, 1974 in Sumter, SC to George and Lessi Mae Williams James, he is the husband of Evelina (Lina) Brown James.Marcellos attended the public schools of Sumter County and was a member of the graduating class of 1993 of Hillcrest High School in Dalzell, SC. He starting working at an early age in Sumter School District 17 Summer Programs and later became a bus driver in Sumter School District Two.After high school, he worked various jobs: Santee Print Works, Gold Kist, Schaffer Distributors and Thompson Industries. He later went to Truck Driving School and for more than ten years traveled all over the country driving tractor trailers. As a child, he wanted to be like his uncle, Perry Pringle who was a long distance truck driver, he loved his job. In 2008, Marcellos moved to Philadelphia, PA and worked for the Historical Society of Philadelphia.Marcellos loved fishing, cooking out and being with family and friends. He learned to ride motorcycles as a young child with his cousin, Matthew Williams, riding motorcycles was one of joys of his life.Marcellos later became a full colored member of the Main Line Riders, where he is known as "Close Up". Marcellos gave his life to Christ at an early age, he was born in the Church of God by Faith, Inc. Sumter #1. He attended Sunday School and was a member of the Sunshine Choir, Usher Board and the E. P. Livingston Inspirational Choir. He loved God, which was shown in his handsome and caring smile and he would help anyone in need.Marcellos was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Evelina (Lina) Brown on April 25, 2009, from this union Marcellos and Lina were blessed with two children.Marcellos was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hannibal James and Lucinda Maple James and maternal grandparents, Martin Williams and Mary Garrett Williams and brother in law, Shawn Brown.Marcellos departed this life on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in Philadelphia, PA.Marcelo leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Evelina (Lina) James; son, Maurice D. James of Sumter, SC; five daughters, Ty'Nasia Jackson of Bishopville, SC, Shaiquandra A. James and Alexis D. James both of Gastonia, NC, Jeniyah James and Jamyra James both of Philadelphia, PA; foster child, Ciani Williams of Philadelphia, PA; two grandchildren Kylin Scarborough and Kyleigh Scarborough both of Bishopville, SC; his parents, George and Lessie Mae Williams James; three brothers, Marlo V. James, Frederick A. James and William C. James all of Wedgefield, SC; two sisters, Kimberly James and Keiya James both of Sumter, SC; father in law, Jerry Brown; mother in law, Deborah Brown; two brother in laws, Dorian Brown and Jeremy Brown and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives friends.The family is receiving friends at the home of his parents, 2305 Emil Road Wedgefield, SC Reception Information Church of God By Faith, Inc.
