"He'll lift you up, He'll hold your hand; He'll ease your pain so you can smile again."Mrs. Genover "Gee", "Nochie" Wheeler, daughter of the late Elijah and Pearline Parrott Wheeler was born May 18,1961 in Lynchburg, South Carolina.Genover grew up in the close-knit community of Mayesville, SC, a place she loved, was loved and was bonded to. She was educated in the Public Schools of Sumter County.Her heart's desire was to cook and serve. She landed her first job with Marjorie Hooks, as a Catering Assistant. She was later employed by Shoney's, Comfort Suites and Hampton Inn all in Sumter, SC. In April 2017 her career came to an abrupt end due to illness. Through it all, there were no complaints, she fought with good faith and perseverance.Genover accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was a member of Mount Pleasant AME Church, Lynchburg, SC.Genover was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Wilson, Sr.; grandmother, Pearline Parrott; a sister Donetha Wheeler and two brothers James Parrott and John Parrott.Genover departed this life on Sunday, September 15, 2019 in Mayesville, SC.Genover was blessed with a son; Darrell Lamont Wheeler, of Sumter, SC; two grandchildren, Kennedy Wheeler and Dallas Wheeler both of Atlanta, GA whom she loved and adored dearly; three bonus children reared in the home; Richard "Brian" Wilson, Kaytina Wheeler and Cheneathia (Andrew) Caesar all of Sumter, SC; four sisters, Josephine Wells of Mayesville,SC; Annette W. Turner of Port St. Lucie, FL; Nancy (Steve) Archie, Sumter, SC and Cherry Y.(Robert) Commander of the home; two brothers, Charles (Lisa) Parrott of Greenville, SC and Alexander Shaw of TX; a very special nephew, Jaheim Wells; two special nieces Diamonte' Commander and Cadence Sellars; two special cousin Alphonso Jackson and Bessie Williams; special friends: Carolyn H.,Paula J., Chris, Danny, Theresa and Vendetta; a sister in love, Veronica Parrott of Jonesboro, GA; three devoted aunts, Dorothy Jackson, Ethel(Thompson) Issac and Naomi Slater; six additional grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, god-children, other relatives and friends.The family is receiving friends at 298 East Sumter Street Mayesville, SC Public Viewing 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm Friday, September 20, 2019 Whites Mortuary LLC 517 N Guignard Drive Sumter, South Carolina, United States 29150 Worship Experience 1:00 pm Saturday, September 21, 2019 Mt.
