Obituary

Franklin Delano Roosevelt Staley was born January 28, 1945, in Batesburg, South Carolina to the late Herman George, Sr. and Edna Dennis Staley. He was educated in the public schools of Batesburg, South Carolina and graduated from Twin City High School. Upon graduating from high school, he entered the United States Air Force, where he served his country faithfully, including the Vietnam War.  Franklin Staley  retired with twenty-four years of service to his county.   In addition to his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by fifteen brothers and sisters. Franklin departed this life on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in Sumter, South Carolina. Franklin leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Patricia Pringle Staley; six children, Tyrone (Loretta) Sanders, Reginald Staley, Michael Staley, Keisha (Steve) Sinkler, Brent (Tameeka) Staley and Rashad (Teresa) Staley; eighteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three god-children, Rondel (April) Robinson, India Wright and Jada Lawson; two sisters, Beatrice (Willie) Stephens and Mary Ruth (Doug) Sartar; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Franklin was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and will be missed.
