Ms. Eva Mae "Girlie" Harris, was the daughter of the late Julius Harris, Sr. and the late Ethel Singleton Harris. She was born February 10, 1947 in Sumter County, South Carolina. Eva Mae was a 1965 graduate of Ebenezer High School in Dalzell, South Carolina and Sumter Area Technical College of Sumter, South Carolina. She was employed for many years in the manufacturing and textile industries. Eva Mae also worked as a receptionist at the South Sumter Hope Center until her full retirement. She enjoyed cooking and decorating her home and yard as hobbies. Eva Mae was a member and attended High Hills Baptist Church in Dalzell, South Carolina until her health started to fail. In addition to her parents, Eva Mae was preceded in death by a brother, Julius Harris, Jr.; four sisters Martha E. Hunter, Ethel Bertha Crosson, Minnie L. Harris and Kathryn L. Harris. Eva Mae "Girlie" Harris transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, January 23, 2025, in Sumter, South Carolina. Eva "Girlie" leaves to celebrate her life, one brother-in-law, Matthew Crossan, Sr. of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; one sister-in-law, Maggie W. Harris of Rembert, South Carolina, and a host of supporting nieces and nephews, Larry Curtis, Gloria Brenda (Michael) Moses, Matthew (Janine) Crosson, Jr., Renee (Herbert) George, Julius Odell (KeKe) Harris, Aaron (Charlene) Crosson, Karen (Dana) Smith, Arnold Anthony (Nancy) Crosson, and Gwendolyn (Robert) Pollard; a special devoted cousin, Eunice (Lawrence) Webb and close cousins and dear friends.
