She is the daughter of the late Warren Toland and Eva Mae Gary Spearman.She attended Newberry High School with many family and friends. Later she moved to Philadelphia, PA where she worked at Barclays Men Clothing and had a career being an a inspector with the Control Data Computer Company.In Philadelphia, she met the love of her life  her Timothy B. Cain in which they were together for fifty-seven years. During their marriage they enjoyed traveling, visiting relatives and had many laughs.Eugenia also enjoyed spending time with family, friends and being a  Deacon. She loved being a caregiver to people.On Monday, April 13, 2020, God called her home at her residence in Sumter.She is survived by her husband, Timothy B. Cain; two daughters, Divina Spearman and Quatima Short, a grandson, Gabriel Short, son-in-law Mark Short, two brothers, Emory Gary and Alonzo Spearman: two sisters, Bernice Gary and Evadell Gouldlock, loving aunt, Ethel Gary, beloved friends, Katherine Todd- Gomez and Carol Bookard, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends throughout Newberry, South Carolina and the Philadelphia area.
