Born and educated in Sumter County.  At an early age he gave his life to the Lord and became a member of Willow Grove A.M.E Church. Eddie was in the Marines for three years, he married Leitha Mae Prioleau. Eddie was a loving father to his children Kenneth, Shemeka, Jamie and Edward (Brandi) Jr. and he adored his grandchildren. Eddie was a good friend and jack of all trades.  He loved lottery tickets, bingo and fishing. He was preceded in death by both parents, John Ricks and Frances Carolina and a sister Barbara Jean Carolina. He leaves to cherish his memories; three sons, Kenneth Perry, Jamie Prioleau and Edward (Brandi) Carolina, Jr; a daughter, Shemeka Miller; sister, Eunice (Charles) Dais of Jonesboro, GA; nine grandchildren,his mother-in-law, Lou Alice Prioleau, four sisters-in-law, Alice Prioleau; Margaret Prioleau; Jacqueline Johnson and Jennifer (Derrick) Brooks, two brothers-in-law, Alex Prioleau and Charles (Jan) Prioleau; two special nieces, Keisha Prioleau and Shanelle Johnson;  a friend till the end Carl Carolina, Theodore Diggs and Tony Barano and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, Eddie will be greatly missed by all he came in contact with.
