Mr. Earvin Lee Wilder, affectionately known as "Big Worm", was born on October 26, 1950 in Pinewood, South Carolina to the late Melvin Wilder, Sr. and Estelle Conyers Wilder. Earvin was known for his warm heart, steady spirit, and deep love for family. He carried himself with humility and kindness, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Earvin's presence brought light and laughter to every gathering, and his wisdom will continue to guide those who loved him. Earvin dedicated his life to Christ at an early age. He had a lengthy career in Agriculture working for Bagnal Farms, Jackson Family Farms and Brogdon Farms, all located in Manning, South Carolina. He found joy in spending time with his family and friends. Earvin's legacy will live on through the values and lessons he passed down to his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Earvin was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmie Wilder and Winfred Wilder; one sister, Bettie J Wilder Logan; and an adopted sister, Inez Dinkins. Earvin Lee Wilder, a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend, entered into eternal rest at the age of 74 on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Earvin leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife, Wilphene Canty Wilder; two children, Fredrick (Pamela) Wilder and Tiffany (Joseph) Sigler; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin (Mary C.) Wilder, Jr. and Bobby (Mary M.) Wilder; two sisters, Joan (Jerome) Canty and Shirley Wilder; brother-in-law, William Logan; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Wilder; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
