Douglas Bernard Joe, Sr. was born on December 5, 1976, in Sumter, South Carolina to Annie Lou Brailsford Joe and the late Douglas Joe. Bernard was educated in the public schools of Sumter County.  In addition to his father, Douglas Joe, Bernard was preceded in death by his daughter, Dougnisha Joe;grandparents, Marshall and Bertha Brailsford Sr., Robert and Essie B. Joe Sr.; brother, Bryan Joe; and sister, Felicia Joe. Bernard departed this earthly life on September 13, 2025, in Alvarado, Texas. Bernard leaves to mourn his passing, his mother, Annie Lou Joe; children, Douglas B. Joe Jr., Bryan J. Joe, and Raymond Joe; stepchildren, Alexis Mickens and Nyasia Mickens; two sisters, Angela (Karl) Evans and Tiffany Bryant; ten aunts; four uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Bernard never ended a conversation without saying, "I Love You Mama!"
