Obituary Deborah Elizabeth Nowell, 63, widow of Larry Nowell, was born in Lakewood, New Jersey on December 7, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Florence Louise Johnson and Oscar Russell. Mrs. Nowell was also raised by her paternal grandfather, the late Robert Johnson.Mrs. Nowell departed this earthly life on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.She leaves to cherish precious memories: four daughters, Sherri (Laurence) Peters of Weddington, NC, Stacey Davis and Ashley Nowell, both of Charlotte, NC, and Siebah Nowell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one son, Christopher Nowell of Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren, Ciara Peters, Brandon Peters, Christian Peters, Xzavier Cintron, Marcus Nowell, Matthew Nowell, and Bryce Nowell; four brothers, Marvin (Cecily Crosby-Webster) Johnson of Stafford, VA, Alonzo Johnson of Toms River, NJ, Tyrone Johnson and Larry Johnson, both of Asbury Park, NJ; one sister, Josephine (Kevin) Worthy of Havre De Grace, MD; two uncles, Herbert Johnson of Lakewood, NJ and Allan Johnson of Miami, FL; one aunt, Carolyn Johnson of Burlington, NJ; a god-son, Ryan Johnson, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.The family is receiving friends at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. & Mrs. Laurence and Sherri Peters.
