Obituary Darryl was born to Lula Mae Taylor-Johnson on February 20,1967 in Washington, D.C. He was the oldest of two children and was reared in Sumter, SC with his brother, Reginald and cousin, Frederick B. Love, Sr.At a young age, Darryl was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, despite the effects of the illness, he always had a kind word and smile to share. He attended public schools in Sumter, SC and graduated from Sumter High School in 1985.He worked in several fields but the most notable is when he worked with the Sumter High School Band. He enjoyed helping to make sure everything ran smoothly by carefully transporting equipment and uniforms. One of his fondest memories was traveling to Philadelphia and watching the band perform in the Thanksgiving Day Parade.Darryl accepted the Lord as his personal savior as a teenager in the family's home church of Enon Missionary Baptist Church, Sumter, SC.At his appointed time, Sunday, December 27, 2015, God called Darryl L. Johnson home to glory after battling a long-term illness.He will be missed and leaves behind to celebrate his precious memory, mother: Lula Mae Johnson of Brooklyn, NY; one brother: Pastor Reginald C.
