Cynthia Denise "Dee" Copeland Covington was born September 15, 1974, in Mayesville, South Carolina to the late Rutha Mae Peterson Copeland Mack and the late Hebert Lee Copeland, Sr. "Dee", as she was known, was educated in the public schools of Lee County, South Carolina as well as Sumter County School District.  She was a member of the graduating class of 1992 from Sumter High School.  "Dee" was a faithful employee of NHC and Sumter Health and Rehab for many years. "Dee" is the beloved wife of Michael D. Covington. In addition to her parents, "Dee"was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Lee Copeland, Jr. and her father-in-law, Sylvester Covington. "Dee" departed this earthly life on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at her residence in Sumter, South Carolina. "Dee" leaves to cherish her memories forever, her husband, Michael D. Covington;  daughter, Zy'Asia Covington; three sons, Tyrell Copeland, Michael Covington, Jr. and Johnathan Covington; three sisters, Deborah Copeland, Joann Copeland and Delmedtris Copeland; two brothers, Leroy (Gale) Copeland and William Copeland; mother-in-law, Mary Covington; two brothers-in-law, Marlon Covington and Martin Covington and a host of other family members and friends.
