Constance "Connie" Renee Vaughn was born on August 10, 1967 in Washington D.C to Juliana Brunson and Leroy Smith. Connie affectionally known as "Bookem" by her husband Jimmy Vaughn of 25 years was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, friend and so much more to many. Connie was educated in the public schools of Manchester and Furman High School. She furthered her education at Central Carolina obtaining an Associates Degree. She was a member of St. Paul Holiness Church in Sumter, SC where she served diligently as the Children's choir director, Sunday school teacher, and sung with the Gospel Choir. Connie had a sincere love for children which was shown through her occupation as a daycare worker and director. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Devontae Brown and brother, Earl Brown. Connie fought a good fight. God saw that she was getting weak, and that the road was getting rough so he sent His angel to give her peace on Friday, August 27, 2021.
