Clyde Izel Clea was the oldest child born to the late Charlie and Ethel Ophelia Harris Clea on September 6, 1949, in Dalzell, South Carolina.
Clyde was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Ebenezer High School in Dalzell, South Carolina in 1968. He worked several jobs throughout his lifetime to include Shaw AFB NCO Club, Shaw AFB Commissary and Shaw Furniture.
Clyde was a very giving and forgiving person. He never met a stranger and was definitely a people person. He was the kind of man that would help anyone in need.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Clea and Ethel Ophelia Harris Clea.
Clyde transitioned from this earthly life on Thursday, July 16, 2026, in Dalzell, South Carolina after a lengthy illness.
Clyde leaves to cherish his memories a brother, Charles F. (Brut) Clea; two sisters, Eva (Lois) Clea McCaw, his devoted caregiver and Eunice (Lawrence) Clea Webb; uncle, Marion "Sonny" Singleton, of the home; aunt, Jeanette Chisolm of New York, NY; nieces and nephews, Lisa, Quanisha, Maya, Rylei, Rashaad, Frederick, Zyier, and Zaiden; a devoted caregiver, Tira Harvin; and a host of cousins, other relatives, concerned neighbors and dear friends.
