Obituary Charles Samuel Ragin was born June 3, 1941 in Sumter to the late Millard Stukes and Lucille Doughty Ragin. He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. He was affectionally known as "Sonny". He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed working and repairing on lawnmowers in his spare time.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Christopher Ragin and Benard Ragin, a granddaughter, Kishana Mitchell. He departed this life on Sunday, February 7, 2021 in Columbia, SC. He leaves to cherish his precious memories; his wife,  Ellaree Dinkins Ragin; two sons, Christopher Dinkins and Eric (Kisha) Dinkins; three daughters, Lolita Ragin, Monya Ragin, and Agelia "Lisa" Dinkins; four granddaughters, Ebony Ragin, Ashley Ragin, Erica Dinkins and Jazmine  Dinkins; a very special great-grand daughter, Morgan Evans who was the apple of his eye; five grandsons, Alexander Dinkins, David Dinkins, Khamari Dinkins, Kadain Dinkins and Khareem Mitchell ; a brother, Robert (Jean) Ragin; a sister, Helen(John) Price.   To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Charles "Sonny" Samuel Ragin, please visit our floral store.
