Charles Edward McCray, affectionately called, "Lil C" was born December 26, 1981, in Sumter, South Carolina to Sandra Rembert McCray and the late Pressley McCray. Charles received his education in the Sumter County School System and completed his education in 1999. Charles impressed others with his intellect, quick wit and fluent speech. He was smooth and confident, which was reflected in the smile on his face, charismatic charm, and motivational conversations. Charles had an entrepreneurial spirit, often pursing multiple business opportunities. Never one to shy away from adventure, Charles dove into the trucking industry, real estate, and auto sales. He could do anything he put his mind to and as a free spirit, he did so successfully, often providing opportunities for others along the way. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Pressley McCray. Charles departed this life after a tragic car accident on Thursday, August 25, 2022, in Sumter, SC. Charles leaves to cherish his loving memory, grieve his passing and celebrate his homegoing; his children, Jordan Randall, Shikira Randall, Jawon Randall, Andre Randall, Alicia Randall, all of Rembert, SC and Messiah Garner, of Columbia, SC; his mother, Sandra McCray, of Camden, SC; brother, Tonio McCray, of Camden, SC; sister, LaWanda (Robert) McCray-Smith, of Rock Hill, SC; two nephews, two nieces, aunt, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
