Cathy Watson Atkins was born May 05, 1953, in Sumter, South Carolina to the late Andrew Mack and Wilhelmina Muldrow Player; and to the late Oder and Lurethia Watson, who affectionately raised her. Cathy was an active member of Victory Church in Sumter, SC, until her health declined. She received her education through the public school system of Sumter; and later graduated from Sumter High School. Cathy was a loving and caring person who opened her heart to all whom she came in contact with. Cathy departed this life on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in Sumter, South Carolina. Cathy leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Cornell (Tawn) Atkins, Keith Atkins, and Kevin (Tiffany) Atkins; three daughters, Niko (Henry) Glover, Mary Fleming, and Jessica Boykin; eleven (11) grandchildren, including a special and dedicated caregiver, seven (7) great- grandchildren, special daughters, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
