Brenda Marie Charles was born August 12, 1961, in Rembert, South Carolina to Ollie Mae Dennis Dinkins and the late Daniel Joseph Dinkins. Brenda was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a member of the graduating class of 1979 from Hillcrest High School. At an early age, she accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. Brenda was employed with NBSC Bank for over twenty (20) years and later with T J Maxx Store for ten (10) years before retiring. Brenda became a loving caregiver for family and friends. Brenda was a devoted wife to Roderick Charles for twenty-nine (29) years, and they were blessed with two children, Kamri and Roderick. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Joseph Dinkins. Surrounded by loved ones, Brenda entered eternally rest peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025, in Sumter, South Carolina. Brenda leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Roderick Charles; two children, Kamri Charles and Roderick Charles; two grandchildren, Na'Kyla Tomlin and Rashawn Tomlin, Jr.; mother, Ollie Mase Dennis Dinkins; five sisters, Laura Dinkins, Carolyn (Claude) Levine, Peggy (Moses) Ballard, Jo Ann (Glenn) Hastie and Kimberly Dinkins; three brothers-in-law, Reverend Kenneth (Christina) Charles, Dwayne Charles and Raymond Charles; one sister-in-law, Tonya (Lewis) Mallory and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
