A Time to Be Born Beverly Tindal Peterson was born on November 28, 1957, to the late Juanita Benton Ford and the late Clarence Tindal. A Time to Grow Beverly was raised in a Christian home and attended the public schools of Sumter County and was a member of the graduating class of 1975 from Sumter High School. She continued her education at Morris College and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. Beverly was employed at Gold Kist, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and later retired from Sykes after many years of dedicated service. A Time to Love Beverly was loved by many. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and going on fishing trips with her family. She also worked with The South Sumter Leadership Council Group and the New Generation Community Choir with Mr. Freddie & Janet Gilbert. A Time to Depart In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by three brothers, Isaiah Jackson, Clarence Tindal Jr. and Vermell Michael Jackson; two sisters, Eula Tindal and Theresa (Mecca) Ford; one granddaughter, Juanisha Tindal; two nephews, Torey Shropshire and Darius Ford. Beverly peacefully departed this earthly life on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Cherished Memories Beverly leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted husband, Isaac Peterson; a daughter, Kalendra (Trenton) Dennis; sons, Juan Tindal, Andre (Andrea) Tindal, and Isaiah (Whitney) Tindal, all of Sumter, South Carolina; four sons raised in the home as her own, Darkus Ford, Devonte Ford, McShane Rose and Daquan Leonard; stepdaughters, Laura (Jefferey) Wilson of Mechanicsville, Maryland and Tonya Peterson of Sumter, South Carolina; stepson, Isaac (Keisha) Peterson Jr. of Sumter, South Carolina; stepmother, Ruth Tindal; goddaughter, Tyeisha (Willie) Spann; god sister, Gwendolyn Sweat; sisters, Mary Shropshire, Darlene Pringle, and Doris Shaw; two bonus sisters, Brenda Coleman and Michelle Leaf; best friends, Janie Wells, Rita Drayton, Clara Singleton and LaTisha Solomon; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
