Barbara Jean Billie Smith, daughter of the late Ruby and Jasper Billie, was born on September 16, 1949 and raised in Gable SC. She was a member of Congruity Presbyterian Church. Barbara received her education at Eastern High School and later attended Job Corp in Kentucky. She worked at Georgia Pacific and Pilgrim's Pride Sumter, where she then retired from, after many long years. Barbara was known for her great cooking and love for being around family and friends. She helped with whatever she could and was the life of the party. Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Josh Billie; four brothers, James Billie, Melvin Billie, Leroy Billie, and Randy Billie; three grandsons, RaeQwon Spann, Demetric Cousar and King Robinson; one brother-in-law, Lee Franklin, and one son-in-law, Jay Bird. Barbara Jean Billie Smith passed away May 17, 2025 at the lovely age of 75, in Sumter, South Carolina, peacefully surrounded by her family. Barbara leaves to cherish her memories, three children, Sandra Cousar, Seneka (Hammie) WIlson, and Jermaine Smith; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Jasper Bill (Annie) Billie, Roland Billie, Samuel Billie; four sisters, Brenda Franklin, Charlene (Anthony) Brand, Patricia (Herbert) Taylor, Francise (Larry) Hunter, all of Sumter South Carolina; one sister-in-law, Evette Billie of Richland, Virginia; and special caregivers, Tammy and Pam. Barbara will be missed by a lot of friends and family who she held her close to their heart.
