Obituary Please Click Link Below to View the Live Streaming of The Memorial Services for Mr. Anthony Geddis on Friday, February 12, 2021 @ 1PM https://www.hdezwebcast.com/show/anthony-clodious-geddis Anthony Clodious Geddis, husband of Ingrid Benjamin Geddis, was born July 30, 1955 in Sumter, SC to the late Birnie and Emma Johnson Geddis, Sr. He attended Stone Hill Elementary School in Sumter, before his mother moved the family to New York in 1965.  He attended and graduated from William H. Taft H.S. where he met his future wife.  Anthony worked for various companies, including Chubb and Son, where he worked his way up to Facilities Supervisor.  He loved playing basketball so much so that he was given the nickname "Heisman", he was a huge Giants fan, enjoyed reading about Greek Mythology and he enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. In 1991, he decided to move back to Sumter to reconnect with family and friends.  For a time, he worked for Gold Kist in the Visceration department, Central Carolina Technical College in security and at F.E. DuBois Career Center as an SRO Officer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice "Bea" Perry, a brother, Willie Joseph Geddis, an aunt, Elsie Hunter, in-laws, Albert and Maud Benjamin, sister-in-law Ethylyn Ryan, brother-in-law, Sylvester Lake, New York. Anthony entered eternal rest on February 3, 2021 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospice in Sumter, SC.    Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Ingrid Geddis; two children, Hope Brown (Duane) Clarke and Tiffany Geddis (Adrian) Price; four grandchildren, Janiya Clark, Myles Clarke, London and Olivia Clarke; aunt, Rosalie Golden, TX; uncle, Isiah "Ike" Hunter; three sisters, Rosa Terry, Schertz, TX, Amelia Geddis Porter, Columbia, SC and Beverly Geddis, Sumter, SC; two brothers, Birnie (Barbara) Geddis, Jr., Sumter, SC  and Garnett Mack, New York; two brothers-in-law, Campbell (Soraida) Benjamin and Hendrick Benjamin and sister-in-law Lilian Lake, New York; nieces, Rachel Delores, Mechelle Geddis, Bernice Geddis (Kevin) Burgess, LeTasha Geddis Mormon, Tiana Mack, New York, Tanya Lake, New York, and Barbara Abraham, UK; nephews, Marvin Terry, Lorenzo (Shenequa) Geddis, Maurice Banks, Daniel and Stephen Abraham, UK and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.   To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Anthony Clodious Geddis, please visit our floral store.
