Obituary Mrs. Anna Ruth McKnight the wife of the late Willie Herbert McKnight, Sr. was born April 28, 1936 in Sumter, SC to the late James and Otencia Gaymond Pringle.Anna Ruth received Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour at an early age and became a lifelong member of the Mulberry Baptist Church in Sumter, SC until her health began to fail.Anna Ruth enjoyed cooking, especially baking for her family and others in the community. She found great pleasure and happiness when shopping. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family. Anna Ruth was very kind hearted woman whom shared words of love and encouragement to everyone she met.In addition to her husband and parents, Anna Ruth was preceded in death by a grandson, six sisters and three brothers.Mrs. Anna Ruth McKnight received her wings on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Northwoods Senior Living Facility.Anna Ruth Leaves to cherish her precious memory, two daughters, Ella McKnight of Nashville, TN and Marion McKnight of Columbia, SC; two sons, Willie McKnight and Woodrow (Delores) McKnight, Sr. both of Sumter, SC; two sisters, Mary Mack and Odell Dukes both of Sumter, SC; three sisters-in-law, Janie L. McKnight, Rosa M. McKnight and Earline McKnight all of Sumter, SC; brother-in-law, Ramsey McKnight of Sumter, SC; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other family members that will be sadden by her passing.The family is receiving friends at 424 Love Street Sumter, SC, the hom of her son and daughter-in-law, Woodrow and Delores McKnight.
