Mrs. Alte Mae Davis Patton was born December 17, 1933, in Sumter County, South Carolina to the late Solomon and Christine Richardson Davis. Alte worked for the South Bronx Job Corps for twenty-six (26) years, where she was loved by all and then retired. Upon her retirement, she relocated from Bronx, New York to Rembert, South Carolina. Upon her return to Rembert, South Carolina, she became a member of the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church and served until God called her home from labor to reward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Patton, and her grandson, Maurice Patton; three brothers, Frank Davis, Albert Davis and Henry Richardson. Alte departed this life on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Oak Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Sumter, South Carolina. She leaves to cherish, a daughter, Christine McCoy; a son, Tommy Edward Davis; a granddaughter, Samiyyah Davis Williams; four great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
