Obituary Mrs. Alice Walker McKnight was born on September 4, 1943 to the late Henry and Willameana Miller-Walker in Horatio, South Carolina.Alice was educated in the public school system of Sumter County. At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal Savior. She formerly attended Church of God by Faith for several years and later became a member of Progressive Church of Sumter, SC. She worked as a domestic worker and a childcare provider.Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Thomas McKnight Sr., one son, Terry A. McKnight; a grandson, Brooks Thomas; two sisters, Josephine Seawright and Mary Walker; two brothers, Robert Walker and William Walker.Alice entered eternal rest on July 26, 2011 at Tuomey Regional Medical Center in Sumter, SC.She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two sons, Freddie Thomas McKnight, Jr., Atlanta, GA., and Bobby Shaquan (Ashonda) McKnight, New York, NY; two daughters, Seletta B. McKnight, Greenville, SC., and Olga Nicole(Gene) Johnson Sumter, SC; eighteen grandchildren: Brandon Carter, Freddie T. McKnight III, Brittany Brewer, Brittany Howard, Dinnero McKnight, Jamal O'Bryant, Quanshae McDaniel, Torrah Wright Jr., Kirsten L.Alison Johnson, Cazja McKnight, Bobby McKnight Jr., Dimone McKnight, Gerald Whitted, Javon Whitted, Brandon Thomas, Rayshawn Brewer, Nyeema Howard, Karizma Sims; four great grandchildren, two aunts, Sarah Smith, Roxboro, NC, and Mattie (Leroy) Reid, Williamsburg N.Y.; a very special niece, Ruby Rogers, Atlanta, GA.; two close cousins, Mary Lee Williams and Earnest Pollard both of Sumter, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
