Alfred Loniel Brunson was born January 13, 1968, in Sumter County, South Carolina to the late Rebecca Salley Brunson and the late Alfred Brunson. Alfred was reared in a Christian home and was a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Pinewood, South Carolina. Alfred was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a 1986 graduate of Furman High School, where he excelled in basketball as well as football. He continued his educational journey at Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina. Alfred was employed at Prisma Health Tuomey for over ten years as an IT Specialist and more recently with Pure Power in Blythewood, South Carolina. Alfred was married to Nelichia Ford Brunson and from this union they were blessed with two children, a son, Cameron J. Brunson and a daughter, Morgan C. Brunson; as well as two stepsons, Darshawn Wright and Brandon Ford. Alfred was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Salley Brunson and his father, Alfred Brunson. Alfred peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Prisma Health Richland. Alfred leaves to cherish his memories, a son, Cameron J. Brunson; daughter, Morgan C. Brunson; two stepsons, Darshawn Wright and Brandon Ford; two grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; stepmother, Dorothy Brunson; three brothers, Gene Brunson, Eric Brunson and Anthony Brunson; aunt, Doris (Earl) Harvin; nephew, Gabe Brunson; and a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
