On November 7, 2020, he was united in holy matrimony to Jennifty Lucas. Blessed by this union were two children. In addition to his children, Aaron loved his grandchildren deeply. Aaron was educated in the public school system of Sumter County. He was employed at Thompson Industrial Services. Prior to this position, he was employed by the City of Sumter; where he touched many souls with his infectious laugh. He was a joyful man that brought laughter and smiles to everyone that encountered him. In his presence, there was never a dull moment and somehow, he always knew what to say in order to help brighten a person's day. Aaron devoted himself to being an honest, hardworking man, and was always willing to help those in need. Aaron departed this life on July 31, 2022, after living a fruitful and loving life. To greet him in heaven with loving arms was his mother, Laura McConnico; father, David Lucas Sr.; grandparents, Hezekiah and Elizabeth Rhodes, James and Willie Mae Lucas, Sammy and Rosa Lee Bradley; uncles, Hezekiah Rhodes Jr, Martin Rhodes, Frank Rhodes, James Lucas Sr, and Elder Holmes; aunt, Wilma James; and niece, Adriana Taylor. Aaron leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory his wife, Jennifty Lucas; son, Marquis Lucas; daughter, Aariana Lucas; two grandchildren, JayCeon Lucas and Ma'Kaiaa Lucas; stepchildren, Tawanda Duffie, Jinautica Nelson, Danielle Nelson, and Jimarus Nelson; sister, Angelic Taylor; wo brothers, David Lucas Jr. and Michael Lucas; stepmother, Mabel Lucas; twelve aunts, Vermelle Nwokeji, Delores (Robert Lee) Baxter, Beverly Rhodes, Willie Mae (Allen Cocklin) Shirley Ford, Minister Jacqueline (Apostle Johnny) Henry, Patricia Webster, Alice Lucas, Bertha Lucas, Pamela Lucas, Patricia Bradley, and Barbara Bradley; seven uncles, Richard Rhodes, Robert (Loretta) Lucas, Willie Lucas, Joseph Lucas, Sam (Daisy) Bradley II, Robert Bradley, and John Bradley; and an abundant number of step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
