Obituary Sophia Cornae Williams affectingly known as "Phia" was born July 8, 1986 in Sumter, SC to Charles Allen and Joyce Regina Sanders Williams, Jr.Sophia was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a 2004 graduated of Crestwood High School. She continued her education at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC and finished her educational endeavors at Florence Darlington Technical College with a degree of Associate in Applied Science Nursing.Sophia was employed at the National HealthCare (NHC) in Sumter, SC as a Registered Nurse.Sophia loved life, her heart and joy was her daughter, Anaiya Jenkins, who she cherished. She enjoyed spending time with Anaiya and her family more than anything.Sophia was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harril and Hattie Sanders and paternal grandfather, Charles Allen Williams, Sr.Sophia departed this life on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center Main in Charlotte, NC.Sophia leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Anaiya Jenkins; her parents, Charles A. and Joyce R. Sanders Williams, Jr.; brother, Charles A. Williams III, grandmother, Patricia Williams; niece, Alasia Williams; nephew, Charles A. Williams IV; aunt, Kathleen Lancaster; five uncles, Lane (Diane) Sanders, Marvin (Jennifer) Sanders, William (Sharone) Scott, Mark (Catherine) Scott and James Williams; god parents, Patricia Morales and Barbara Webb and a host of extended family members, cousins and friends who mourn her loss.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church 7355 Camden Highway Rembert, SC 29128, Reverend Anthony L. Taylor, Sr. Pastor and Apostle Jamie Pleasant, Officiating.
