Obituary It's with deep and profound sorrow that we annoucne the passing of Mr. Pearley Peoples, age 65 who departed this earthly life on Saturday, May 30, 2020 in Columbia, SC.A Time to Be BornMr. Pearlie Peoples III was born in Sumter, SC on January 14, 1955 to the proud parents Pauline Peoples and the late Pearlie Jr. He was their first born. Pearlie was raised by his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Seymour Peoples (deceased). He was taught structure and love by his grandmother. He was the eldest of six children, his siblings are Lee Vern, Rick, David (deceased), Joyce and John. He was a fun loving person who shared that love whenever you saw him and he loved to dance.Pearlie attended and received his education from the Sumter County School District and attended Sumter High School where he graduated in 1973 in Sumter SC. A Time to WorkHe was employed with Wilson Roofing Builders. Pearlie, hands were gifted. He was one of the best contractors that you could find in Sumter. He was a very hard worker he worked from sun up to sun down to make a living.Pearlie's Heritage consists of a multitude of family members who has preceded him in death.Pearlie's grandparents were Pearlie Sr. and Nellie Peoples and Ernest and Sudie Andrews; his father, Pearlie Peoples Jr.; uncles, Ernest Peoples, Richard Andrews, Ernest Andrews and Robert Andrews; aunts, Margaret Dukes, Ernestine Cortella, Rose Mel Rose, Betty Ruth Vinson and Ruby McCullough; great aunt, Annie Pringle many cousins and other relatives. He was loved dearly by us all. He belonged to a very large Christian family unit.Pearlie departed this life on Saturday, May 30, 2020 in Columbia, SC.He leaves a Family Legacy of fond memories:His wife, Cornelia Peoples; a son, Fernando (Candice) Peoples; daughter, Creshia Peoples; two granddaughters, Creshona and Janiyia Peoples; his mother, Pauline Sheppard; three brothers, Lee Vern (Louise) Peoples, Rick (Shirley) Peoples and John Sheppard; a sister, Joyce (William) Harden; two nephews, Marcus (Rachel) Peoples and Keith Harden; six nieces, Sondra Alston, Pamela Alston, Ashley Alston, Tametra Alston, Kenisha Harden and Kenyarna Harden; aunts, Rozella Thomas, Elizabeth Rogers, Collette Andrews and Elizabeth Andrews and a host of grand nephews, grand nieces, cousins and friends to carry on his memories.The family is receiving friends at the home of his brother and sisiter-in-law, Lee Vern and Louise Peoples 875 Winston Road Sumter, SC.
