Henry Adolph "Bull" White

December 17, 1949 - December 30, 2017

Obituary Henry Adolph White, also known as "Bull", was born December 17, 1949 in Locust Grove, Georgia to the late Henry A. "Shag" Holloway and the late Annie Sue Tomlinson White.Henry received his primary and secondary education from the Henry County Training School, where he also played football. Upon graduating from high school, he attended Fort Valley State College. While attending college, Henry's work career began with General Electric, where he served as a CO-OP (Intern) in Rome, Georgia. In 1972, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fort Valley Sate in Mathematics and at that point he began working fulltime as a Computer Programmer/Design Engineer with General Electric. Later in his career, Henry applied for another position with General Electric in Goldsboro, NC at the Carolina Products Plant, where he was then promoted to Quality Control Supervisor. He held several positions during his many years of service, culminating his career in the role of Manufacturing Engineering Manager. During his tenure, Henry set a standard of dedicated service and excellence and retired from General Electric in 2008.Henry married his college sweetheart, MaeBelle Curney on June 7, 1975, and together they shared the joy of raising three children.At a young age, Henry became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Upon his relocation to Goldsboro, NC, he joined First African Baptist Church, where he served on the Trustee Board. In 2009, he reestablished his membership with Shiloh Baptist Church due to returning back to his home state and settling in McDonough, Georgia. This move also allowed him to reconnect with his high school graduating class, where he had the honor of serving as Class President.Henry enjoyed hosting family functions and one of his favorite hobbies was to grill. He was always available to share his technology and financial knowledge with others. In addition, Henry enjoyed sharing advice about certain dishes, especially fruit preserves and brunswick stew. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends. One of favorite pastimes was visiting the mountains and streams near his timeshare located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.In addition to his father and mother, Henry was preceded in death by a sister, Willie Ruth Pines and sister-in-law, Diane Tomlinson.Henry departed this life on Saturday, December 30, 2017 in Stockbridge, Georgia at Piedmont Henry Hospital.Henry leaves to cherish his memory his wife, MaeBelle Curney White; daughter, Renetha Scharonda Black; two sons, Henry Adolph White, Jr. and Hugh Alexander White; three grandchildren, Veronica Lynn Black, Brianna Marie Black and Vachel LaVon Black Jr.; great-grandchildren, Zahnya Armanda Black, Zamontae Antonio Black, and Zamoriah Tra'Vae Black; five brothers, Charlie Harold Tomlinson of McDonough, GA, Gerald (Shirley) White of Tucker, GA, Freddie White of McDonough, GA, Thomas (Elaine) White of Cornelius, NC, and Elder William (Laverne) White of Indian Trail, NC; two sisters, Rosa Juanita (James) Brown of Cedar Hill, TX and Shirley (Lun) Banks of McDonough, GA; brother-in-law, James William Curney, III; sister-in-law, Virginia Curney; an aunt, Julia Holloway; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
