McKinley "Kenny" James

Obituary Mr. McKinley Franklin James, affectionately known to all as "Kenny" was born March 18, 1955 in Newark, NJ to the late Beatrice James Johnson and the late Johnny Johnson, he was the biological son of the late Plank Franklin.Kenny was educated in the public schools of Newark, NJ. During his early years, he taught at Orangeburg Technical College. Later years, he was employed at A & T Auto Sales and most recently at Drive Now Motors.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Lee James; nephew, Kenneth Lamar James and niece, Yolanda James.Kenny departed his earthly journey and traded his life for his reward on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Palmetto Health Tuomey.Loving memories will be forever cherished by his two daughters, Kathy Jennings and La'Quana Rhodes both of Sumter, SC; three brothers, Lorenzo James of Newark, NJ, Russell James of Newark, NJ and Arme' James of Denver, CO; sister, Colzie Diamond James of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Jeremiah Durant, Destiny Pearson and De'Asia Govan; aunt, Francis Davis of Columbia, SC; uncle, Leroy (Rosa) Jennings of Sumter, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Greater Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church 609 Miller Road Sumter, SC, Bishop Marvin Hodge, Pastor and Bishop Jeffery Johnson, Officiant.
